Glenveagh Homes has announced that it is sponsoring charity radio station Christmas FM this year.
The station, which launched earlier this week, is now one of the country’s most listened to national radio stations during the month of December.
In total, Christmas FM has raised over €1.5 million for various charities over the past decade, and this year it’s chosen charity is Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Glenveagh’s Chief Operating Officer Stephen Garvey said the company was delighted to sponsor the station and to support Temple Street.
”The launch of Christmas FM really marks the beginning of the festive season and Glenveagh is delighted to sponsor it and to support the invaluable work that Temple Street does on a daily basis for so many families in difficult circumstances. We would like to take this opportunity to wish a very happy Christmas to one and all especially the more than 200 families who are moving into their new Glenveagh homes this year. We hope they will enjoy a special Christmas together and make memories which will last a lifetime.”
Walter Hegarty, co-founder of Christmas FM, said they were delighted to bring Christmas FM back for the eleventh year.
“We want to thank each and everyone one of our listeners who have helped us reach this point and supported us and our chosen charities. We would like to thank Glenveagh Homes who have come on board as one of our sponsors for 2018. We are grateful for the ongoing fundraising support which will help provide the very best medical equipment this Christmas to many deserving children.”
