Over the past year, Glenveagh have been involved with a number of community initiatives which, as well as benefiting our residents, have benefited the wider Kilcock community. Glenveagh were one of the main corporate sponsors for the Kilcock Christmas Lights, which enabled KBA and the organising committee to ensure a much-improved Christmas lighting experience in the town and along the harbour. We also donated a mobile defibrillator to the Kilcock Park Run group. For 2022, there is new activity planned with local sports, business and community groups to benefit all ages in the community.

Sports

For the second year running, Glenveagh are supporting the local Kilcock Wheelers cycling club. The club is growing from strength to strength with new club jerseys, social media channels and importantly, new members. The Wheelers also featured in Glenveagh’s Love Where You Live TV and billboard campaign which ran nationwide in November and December 2021.

New for 2022, Glenveagh have a new sponsorship in place with next door neighbours, Kilcock GAA club. The club were keen to get a named sponsor for their children’s nursery aimed at 4 – 6-year-olds as well as support for the juvenile girls teams, which have increased in numbers since their recent participation in the Gaelic4Girls programme. Glenveagh have sponsored both the camogie and football juvenile girls teams.

Both sponsorships were made official in March 2022, and we look forward to successful partnership.

Ledwill Community Day

Our first ever Community Day for the residents was piloted in Ledwill Park on Saturday 4th September, 2021. Based around a Sustainable Communities theme, activity on the day included wildflower seed planting, facepainting and children’s entertainment provided by Biodiversity in Schools. Local businesses were also in attendance including Junior Einstein’s and Fitness Journey, who got everyone moving with an Outdoor Children’s class as well as a mini-disco for the children big and small! A BBQ was also provided, which went down a treat in the afternoon sunshine!
