Gaelic4Girls supported by Glenveagh, is a 10-week programme designed to encourage more girls to experience Gaelic Football. Created for 9-13 year olds, it strives to increase the number of girls playing football in a GAA club and to support existing players. The programme involves activities designed to be fun, culminating in a non-competitive football blitz at the end of the 10 weeks. Glenveagh are delighted to again support this initiative which widens the participation of girls in Gaelic football.
This year's Glenveagh Gaelic4Girls ambassadors will bring their knowledge and skills to over 24 clubs taking part in the scheme. Clubs from all four provinces along with three from London and Hertfordshire, are participating in Gaelic4Girls in 2025, as it goes from strength to strength. The roll-out of the programme will be assisted by leading inter-county players Aimee Mackin (Armagh), Laurie Ryan (Clare), Jennifer Higgins (Roscommon), Leah Caffrey (Dublin), Blaithín Bogue (Fermanagh), Síofra O’Shea (Kerry), Louise Ward (Galway) and Monica McGuirk (Meath). These ambassadors represent the highest standard of Gaelic football and they bring something special to the Gaelic4Girls experience.
Glenveagh are committed to supporting grassroots initiatives that make a positive impact in the communities where we work. We look forward to partnering with the LGFA to help grow this fantastic programme over the next year and we wish everyone participating in the 2025 programme the very best of luck.
The Gaelic4Girls programme continues to be a huge success for the Ladies Gaelic Football Association and 2025 is shaping up to be a great year for the participants.
