Meet with other vinyl enthusiasts and maybe pick up a music bargain along the way. Admission is free and there's plenty of time to browse the memorabilia, tapes and records as the fair runs from 10:30am to 5:00pm. The Bray Record Fair takes place in The Little Flower Hall at the Holdy Redeemer Church on the Main St. in Bray.
The Mermaid Arts Centre in Bray hosts Seán O'Casey's The Plough and The Stars running from 5th to the 9th of November, with a Square One production of the iconic play. In the Mermaid's words "The Plough and the Stars is one of playwright Sean O’Casey’s most renowned and poignant works. The play explores the lives of tenement dwellers in Dublin against the backdrop of the political turmoil. It’s particular focus on the lives of women during this time reflects O’Casey’s own mother’s experiences. All of his characters show the rich humour and resilience and the language of the people O’Casey knew". It is the final play in Sean O’Casey’s Dublin trilogy and well worth going to see.
