A Look Back At Our Blackrock Villas Community Event
Last week Glenveagh hosted a vibrant Community Day at Blackrock Villas, creating a space for neighbours to connect, celebrate, and share in the joy of local life. From kids to adults, the event had something for everyone, turning the area into a vibrant hub of fun and connection.
Highlights of the Event
Throughout the day attendees enjoyed a lively mix of community‑centred activities. Kids were delighted with face painting, magic shows and yoga, while others engaged in games and friendly competitions such as spin the wheel.
Food stalls offered delicious snacks and refreshments, giving residents a chance to mingle over a bite and a drink. A local coffee stand kept everyone energised with barista-made favourites, while the ice cream stand served scoops of indulgent treats to kids and adults alike. The aroma of freshly made pizza drew a steady crowd as well, offering the perfect savoury bite between activities.

Sport & Community
A standout feature of the day was the presence of Blackrock National Hurling Club, who brought energy and excitement with live hurling demonstrations. Club members showcased their skills, giving attendees an up-close look at the speed, precision, and passion that defines the sport. The team engaged with local families, encouraging children to try their hand at hurling and learn more about joining the club. Their involvement not only entertained but also helped promote the importance of sport, teamwork, and active living within the community.
The event marked another step in Glenveagh’s ongoing commitment to building not just homes, but flourishing and connected communities where people feel a true sense of belonging.
