Wake Up Your Weekend with Donabate parkrun

There are over 150 parkruns happening every weekend in Ireland, bringing people of all ages and ability together, to get out and move. The Donabate parkrun has been going from strength to strength, attracting people from the local area as well as international visitors and tourists, to their Saturday morning run. Recent weeks saw runners from the USA, Australia and the UK all join the Donabate run.

Parkrun is a "free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. parkrun is 5k and takes place every Saturday morning". Some parkrun groups also have junior parkruns which are 2km long, dedicated to 4-14 year olds and their families, every Sunday morning.

Donabate parkrun happens every Saturday morning at 9:30. Runners (and walkers) meet at the front of Newbridge House for the weekly event. The run circles back to the front of the house. Every week participants are invited to go for coffee afterwards in the Coach House Café, close to the start/finish area, where they enjoy a 10% discount on presentation of their parkrun barcode.
