It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, so we're checking out where in Dublin 15 to see the festive lights being turned on and where to check out some nice displays.

Blanchardstown Tree Lighting Ceremony

If you're around Blanchardstown this week, why not drop down to the Main Street for the Blanchardstown Tree Lighting on Thursday evening? The festivities start at 6pm and it's a nice way to see in the festive season.

Shackleton Garden Christmas Illumination

If ever there was an event that sounded lovely it has to be the "Enchanted Garden Mystical Light Show" at Shackleton Garden in Clonsilla. Since acquiring the garden in 2017, Fingal County Council have being lovingly restoring the garden, named after its world-famous Antarctic explorer owner, Ernest Shackleton.

The festive light show at Shackleton Garden runs from Monday 21st November until Sunday 1st December from 5pm-9pm each evening. The show is free, so it's great event to bring the kids to. There are teas, coffees and seasonal snacks on sale too, so a nice way to round off a wintry evening.
