Our Community Engagement team has been busy over the past few weeks visiting St. Anne's Loreto Primary School and St. Stephen's National School in Navan. During these visits, they spent time with 3rd and 4th class students to talk about site safety and share practical tips on how to stay visible and aware around construction areas.
These school sessions are an important part of Glenveagh’s ongoing commitment to promoting safety within the communities where we live and work. By meeting students in their classrooms, we aim to build awareness of construction site safety at an early age. The talks focus on simple but effective safety habits such staying visible around construction sites.

The school children were incredibly enthusiastic and engaged throughout the visits. They were introduced to Sam and Sue, our storybook character safety champions who help bring the message to life, asking fantastic questions about how construction sites work and why safety rules are so important.
To reinforce what they learnt, each student received a high‑visibility vest, pencil, and keychain to take home as reminders to stay alert and aware when walking or cycling near construction activity in their local area.

It is always a pleasure for our team to visit schools, meet the students, and share this important message. Glenveagh is proud to support local schools and help young people understand the importance of staying safe around construction.
