Glenveagh has announced an exciting new partnership with Maynooth University aimed at supporting students, driving innovation and promoting long-term career opportunities within Ireland’s construction sector. This wide-ranging programme will focus on student support, employability, research and access initiatives, with a particular emphasis on students from local communities and DEIS schools.
At the heart of the partnership is a strong focus on widening access to education and creating meaningful opportunities for students. The programme will offer scholarships, workshops and practical, hands-on industry engagement to give students valuable insight into real-world construction careers.
By engaging students early in their academic journey, Glenveagh and Maynooth University aim to help young people better understand the diverse opportunities available in the construction industry.
The initiative will highlight the wide range of career options available across the construction industry. Students will gain exposure to roles in engineering, design, computing and business, demonstrating that the sector extends far beyond traditional perceptions.
Through direct engagement with industry professionals, students will be able to explore how their academic studies can translate into rewarding careers in a fast-evolving, innovative field.
Co-ordinated by Glenveagh’s Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) and Community Engagement teams, the partnership will also explore research collaborations between the university and the company.
By combining academic expertise with real-world industry experience, the collaboration aims to drive innovation and sustainability in homebuilding—supporting the development of smarter, more efficient and environmentally responsible housing solutions.
This new partnership builds on Glenveagh’s ongoing support for Maynooth University’s Soccer Development Programme and represents another important step in the company’s long-term commitment to education and community development.
