Glenveagh delighted to support Trim Celtic AFC with our Hometown Heroes fund.
Supporting local clubs and initiatives is something we enjoy doing, so when Michael Kerrigan from our Commercial team nominated Trim Celtic AFC for our Hometown Heroes Fund, we were happy to help. Glenveagh is delighted to support Trim Celtic AFC with the great work they do with teams of all ages.
The original Trim Celtic dates back to some time before WWII when local cricketers were looking for another sport to keep them playing during the winter. There was a later incarnation in the 1950s, but today's club was founded in 1967. The football club went from strength to strength in the 1970s, moving to new grounds at Knightsbrook on the Summerhill Road in 1976. The grounds were named in honour of founding Chairman Paddy Tully on the 25th Anniversary of the Club in 1992.
