H&S talk at New Inn National School

Glenveagh's Health & Safety team recently visited New Inn National School in Cork to deliver an engaging and informative talk on site safety. The initiative is part of Glenveagh’s wider community outreach programme, aimed at educating young people about the importance of safety, particularly around active building sites.

All About Site Safety Awareness

The talk was tailored to 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th year students and focused on key safety messages in a fun, age-appropriate format. Using visuals, demonstrations, and real-life examples, Glenveagh’s team highlighted the potential dangers of construction zones and the importance of staying alert and cautious near building sites.

The students were particularly enthusiastic during the interactive segments of the presentation, which included a look at personal protective equipment (PPE) like hard hats, hi-vis jackets, and safety boots. They also learned about the different roles on a construction site and how teamwork and communication help keep everyone safe.

Looking Ahead

Glenveagh plans to continue its safety education programme with more school visits across the Cork area and beyond. By investing in early education around health and safety, we are fostering a culture of awareness that extends beyond the construction industry and into the wider community.

This initiative is a strong example of how partnerships between schools and local organisations can create meaningful, lasting impact for the next generation.
