Community-Maynooth
Glenveagh was happy to visit Maynooth Boys’ National School and Maynooth Educate Together National School to deliver construction site safety talks to pupils in 3rd and 4th class. The visits took place during the first week of October and gave us a great opportunity to speak with the students about the importance of staying safe near active sites and why a working site is not a place to play.
The students enjoyed our Sam and Sue construction site safety book and followed along with the story, asking great questions throughout the talk. All students were given a key ring, a pencil and a hi-vis vest to wear when playing outside or going to and from school.
A huge well done to all the pupils who took part and thank you to the teachers and staff at both schools for welcoming us.
