The Glenveagh team were happy to visit four schools across Swords to deliver construction site safety talks to 3rd and 4th class pupils. The visits took place throughout September in St Colmcille's Boys' National School, St Colmcille's Girls' National School, Broadmeadow National School and Swords Educate Together National School. With the new school year beginning, this was a great opportunity to engage with the students and speak about the importance of staying safe near active sites.
Our Sam and Sue construction book was used to help students understand how to stay safe around areas with active construction sites. The students took part in fantastic conversations and asked great questions around this topic. Every pupil went home with a pencil, a hi-vis vest and a key ring as a reminder of this important message.
A huge well done to all the pupils who took part and thank you to the teachers and staff at each school for welcoming us.
