Glenveagh delighted to support Dunsany GAA Club with our Hometown Heroes fund.
Glenveagh support over 1,000 initiatives throughout Ireland and showing support to local clubs is part of that vision. When Cathal Burke nominated Dunsany GAA Club for our Hometown Heroes Fund, we were delighted to help, providing support with new club jerseys. Wishing the club all the best with future games!
Dunsany GAA Club is firmly rooted in the local community and prides itself on the role it plays in bringing people together, young and old. The club has had a colourful history, from battling to survive to supplying some great Meath players over the years. It marked a huge event back in 2000, when its new grounds were opened as Páirc na nGaeil in Dunsany, which continues to be one of the best and most popular grounds in the county.
You can out more about the club on the Dunsany GAA Facebook Page.
The Hometown Heroes Fund enables Glenveagh staff to nominate a local club or association for assistance in achieving their goals. The awards can take different forms and have typically supported grassroots clubs, local initiatives via direct funding or sponsorship opportunities; a great way for Glenveagh staff to be become involved in supporting communities.
