In April we brought together residents of Baker Hall in Navan for a Glenveagh Planting Day. We're back to see the results.

On the 13th of April, we teamed up with residents in Baker Hall in Navan, to enhance green areas with some wild flower flair. The plan was to plant flower seeds that would entice pollinators while creating colourful and beautiful spaces for residents to enjoy. So with the help of the Glenveagh Community Engagement Team, areas were cleared and seeds were scattered in designated areas by Baker Hall residents. All we had to do was wait...

Small meadows can have a big impact and it's safe to say that the Glenveagh Planting Day in Baker Hall has produced flowers that are certain to make passers-by smile. From poppies to cornflowers and everything in between, these blooms not only bring a riot of colour, they also serve a vital role in creating biodiverse habitats for essential pollinators.
Throughout the summer this meadow in Baker Hall has been a pollinator heaven with butterflies, bees and moths making the best of the floral haven!
