Gaelic4Girls is a 10-week programme supported by Glenveagh, incorporating coaching sessions with fun non-competitive blitzes aimed at increasing participation in Ladies Gaelic Football. The programme targets girls aged between 8-12 years who are not currently registered with a Ladies Gaelic Football club. In essence, this is a tool to attract new players.
As part of the Gaelic4Girls programme in Summer '24, Glenveagh ran a fun photo competition for girls who are enjoying playing Gaelic football. Navan O'Mahonys U11s girls came out on top with their very apt ‘Watch Your House’ entry, winning €1,000 worth of sports equipment and gear. The girls have been busy since, using their new equipment to help hone their skills! Wishing them many years of sporting success as they continue to take part in Ladies Gaelic Football.
