Glenveagh's Health & Safety team recently visited Swords Educate Together National School to deliver an engaging and informative talk on site safety. The initiative is part of Glenveagh’s wider community outreach programme, aimed at educating young people about the importance of safety, particularly around active building sites.
The talk was tailored to 3rd and 4th year students and focused on key safety messages in a fun, age-appropriate format. The pupils learned about the importance of safety on construction sites in a way that was both age-appropriate and memorable. They were shown what personal protective equipment (PPE) looks like, including hard hats, high-visibility jackets, gloves and safety boots, and learned why these items are essential for keeping construction workers safe.
The students were also encouraged to ask questions, with many showing enthusiasm and curiosity about how buildings are made and what safety measures workers must follow each day.

At Glenveagh, we will continue our safety education programme with more school visits across Dublin and further afield. By focusing on health and safety at an early stage, we hope to build a strong culture of awareness that supports not just the construction industry, but the wider community as well.
Wishing the very best to all the students at Swords Educate Together NS.
