Site Updates September 2026
Belcamp
Construction works in Belcamp are currently underway and are progressing on schedule. The new community, comprising a total of 78 units, will bring much needed A-rated homes to the area. The first homeowners collected their keys in December 2025, with the remaining homes expected to be completed in the coming months.
Resurfacing Works
As part of the Taking in Charge process, remedial works to the River Walk will recommence Wednesday 16th September and take approx. 2 days to complete.
Resurfacing works on College Avenue are now complete. To facilitate the opening of the playground at Washington Green, the Contractor has been asked to prioritise the footpath repair works within the playground on Friday, 4th September
The Contractor will then return to complete the remaining resurfacing repairs on River Walk next week. A further update will be posted early next week confirming the revised dates.
Playground Update
Washington Green
Play equipment has been installed, with the remaining footpath repairs scheduled for completion by close of business on Friday, 4th September.
A RoSPA safety inspection is scheduled to take place during the week commencing 7th September. Subject to a satisfactory inspection, the site fencing will then be removed and the playground opened.
College Avenue
Play equipment has been installed. Completion of the rubber safety surfacing is due to commence during the week commencing 7th September, followed by the installation of safety railings and completion of landscaping works.
The remaining works are expected to be completed within approximately 3 to 4 weeks.
Washington Drive
Civil works are currently underway, with installation of the play equipment scheduled to commence on 14th September.
The works are expected to be completed within approximately 4 weeks.
