Glenveagh Sponsoring Balbriggan RFC’s Easter Camp

Balbriggan Rugby Football Club (RFC) recently hosted a successful Easter rugby camp, made possible through the generous sponsorship of Glenveagh. Held from April 14th to 17th, the camp welcomed over 30 young players aged 6 to 12, offering them an opportunity to develop their rugby skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Camp Highlights

The Easter camp featured a range of activities designed to introduce children to rugby and enhance their existing skillset. Throughout the four-day camp, participants were introduced to basic rugby techniques, such as ball handling, passing, tackling, and kicking.

The young players enjoyed a variety of fun and engaging activities, from skill-based challenges and team-building exercises to competitive games. The emphasis was not only on improving technical abilities but also on creating a positive and supportive atmosphere where the children could build confidence and learn teamwork.

To celebrate the Easter spirit, the camp wrapped up with a special Easter egg hunt on the final day. The children were excited to hunt for colourful eggs hidden around the grounds, adding an extra layer of fun to the camp’s activities. This festive touch made the event even more memorable, bringing smiles and laughter as the young participants enjoyed the hunt together.

Looking ahead

The Easter rugby camp was a great success, providing a wonderful opportunity for young players to experience rugby in a fun and educational setting.
