We recently visited Ardgillan College in Balbriggan, where the school welcomed us in to give a talk on careers in construction to 5th and 6th year students. Construction careers span a wide range of roles, from construction design to apprenticeships, engineering and on-site roles all the way through to finance, IT and sales. We brought students through many of the different roles that a career in construction offers. A huge thanks to all the staff and students in Ardgillan for the warm welcome and the engagement and great questions throughout the talk.
Our long-term vision for the communities we serve starts with education. We’re investing in the future by partnering with local organisations and schools to support children and young people in fulfilling their potential.
We’re keeping an eye out for the stars of tomorrow. As well as providing work experience and mentoring through our school outreach programme, we’re expanding our range of apprenticeships and placements for second and third level students. We’ll continue to create opportunities for young people to be part of our future.
