Students in 3rd Year at Scoil Chormaic Community School, Balbriggan, recently enjoyed an engaging and informative Health and Safety talk delivered by Peter Morgan from the Health and Safety Team at Glenveagh.
Peter spoke to students about the importance of safety — both on construction sites and in everyday life. He highlighted the key principles of staying alert, following safety procedures, and looking out for one another.
The session was both fun and interactive, with students asking great questions about careers in construction and how safety plays a role in every job. The pupils were shown what personal protective equipment (PPE) looks like, including hard hats, high-visibility jackets, gloves and safety boots, and learned why these items are essential for keeping construction workers safe.
Adding a bit of fun to the morning, the teachers were dressed up in their Halloween costumes, which created a lively atmosphere and made the visit even more memorable for everyone involved.
A special thanks to all the teachers and pupils at Scoil Chormaic for the warm welcome.
