Arts, performance, crafts and music all in the mix for Culture Night in Balbriggan.
Friday 20th September sees the return of Culture Night/Oíche Chultúir, celebrating culture, creativity and the arts all over Ireland; a night of honouring what makes us who we are, from arts and theatre to music and dance. All events are free and Balbriggan will be hosting a diverse range of cultural activities for all ages. We take a look at just some of what's on offer.
Ardgillan Castle in Balbriggan will be a hive of activity on Friday night when it hosts tours from 6:00-9:00pm along with music performances and poetry readings. The castle is also home to a number of artists in residence, using the castle as their creative base and on Friday the Ardgillan artists' collective will be there to show and chat about their art. The gallery will also be open throughout the evening where you can view an exhibition by Blaine O'Donnell. HMK Art Club will host a Cabaret Life Drawing event in the drawing room and there will also be live music on the night.
