Glenveagh has proudly sponsored brand-new jerseys for the football and tennis teams at Donabate Community College, marking an exciting moment for students, staff, and the wider local community.
The sponsorship reflects our continued commitment to supporting young people and investing in the communities where we operate.
Rather than selecting an existing design, the school held an internal competition to give students the opportunity to create the new jerseys themselves. This initiative encouraged creativity, school spirit, and student involvement in shaping the identity of their teams.
The winning design was created by talented student Sam McCleary, whose concept stood out for its originality. Sam’s design will now be worn by both the football and tennis teams during matches and competitions.
Having a student-designed jersey adds a special sense of ownership and pride for players wearing the kit. It also demonstrates the school’s commitment to empowering students and recognising their talents beyond the classroom.
Teachers and students alike have praised the initiative for bringing the school community together, combining sport, art, and teamwork in one meaningful project.
The collaboration between Glenveagh and Donabate Community College showcases the positive impact that local partnerships can have. As the football and tennis teams step onto the pitch and court in their new jerseys, they do so not only representing their school, but also celebrating a successful partnership and the creative talent of one of their own.
With the new jerseys now officially unveiled, excitement is building for the upcoming season. We wish the very best to all the students at Donabate Community College.
