Leixlip Live Comedy

Comedy returns to Leixlip this weekend, with Leixlip Laughs in the Salmon Leap Inn on Friday night. The July show promises to be a good one with comedian Karl Spain returning as MC and guest comedian, to host an evening of stand up.

Spain, Mannion and McGahern take to Salmon Leap Stage

Leixlip Laughs will see Karl Spain, Sharon Mannion and Kevin McGahern take to the stage, with an up and coming act supporting them on the night. Karl Spain is known not only for his stand up, but for his TV work too, from Karl Spain Wants to Rock to appearances in RTE's Kilnascully. He's been a comedian for over twenty years, so you're in safe hands, as far as being in safe hands with a comedian goes!

Sharon Mannion is a seasoned campaigner on the comedy circuit. Like the other established stand-ups taking part on Friday night, she's also featured on television as a mainstay in Bridget and Eamon as Concepta and a regular in Pictorial Weekly. A favourite with festival audiences, Mannion never fails to hold the crowd in her hands.

Kevin McGahern is a well known face in Irish comedy, between hosting Republic of Telly and featuring in a host of panel and comedy shows. He's a writer, podcaster, broadcaster and all rounder when it comes to getting laughs. Expect some sharp observations on Irish life.
