Talking Construction Careers with Portlaoise Students

Glenveagh Homes recently visited Scoil Chríost Rí in Portlaoise to speak with Transition Year students about careers in construction. The session highlighted various career paths, from site management to architecture and engineering and discussed the necessary courses, such as civil engineering, construction management and apprenticeships. The talk also covered Glenveagh’s construction strategy, focusing on modern methods of construction (MMC) like off-site manufacturing and energy-efficient designs.

The students were highly engaged, asking questions about different career opportunities and emerging technologies in the industry. We wish them all the best in the rest of their TY year as they explore their future careers in construction!
