Four days of culture and food at Kells festival.
From Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th November, Kells will play host to the Samhain Festival of Food and Culture. The festival "showcases the very best of Irish food and drink, food culture and history through a weekend long series of events from food & drinks tastings and cookery demonstrations, to food safaris, farm visits, kids workshops, discussions and debates with Ireland’s foremost culinary experts." This year Sheridan's Irish Food Fair will partner with the festival to bring even more wonderful food and drink to Meath over the four days.
Now in its sixth year, the Samhain Festival of Food and Culture celebrates the rich farming, food and heritage tradition in the Meath and beyond. Some of the events that will take place this year include an opening night trad session with Carlingford oysters & Stout in Jacks Bar in Kells, a literary pub crawl, a bread baking experience at the Martry Mill and lots more. <Many of the events are free of charge.
