Local Navan residents attended a dedicated Community Day in Baker Hall over the weekend. Hosted by Glenveagh, one of Ireland’s leading homebuilders, the family fun day provided a wide range of entertainment, catering and activities for all to enjoy. The day was a great success, with residents of Baker Hall enjoying the opportunity to connect with their community and take part in the various activities.
A specialised event hub in the form of a tented ‘Pop Up Village’ was available on the day, where kids’ yoga with Fern Yoga, a kids construction zone, balloon modelling and facepainting and carnival games took place. The Community Day also included a Simonstown Gaels GAA skills session, a craft area and a kids play zone, catering to all age groups.
Glenveagh partners were also on hand to provide interactive sessions for local residents, with a Nature Heroes workshop available for children, facilitated by Biodiversity in Schools. As well as the broad selection of entertainment, the event included a variety of local food stalls, including coffee and ice-cream trucks which facilitated residents’ donations to Barretstown and Women’s Aid, Glenveagh’s charity partners for 2026. The event concluded with a “spin and win” raffle for homeowners, with prizes including local retail vouchers.
The Community Day took place as Glenveagh reaffirms its commitment to engaging with local communities. The leading Irish homebuilder is focused on delivering more than just high-quality homes, but sustainable communities that can thrive into the future.
Commenting on the event, Annette McGarry, Head of Community Engagement at Glenveagh, said:
“Engaging with the local community and offering support is a core part of what we do at Glenveagh. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to host and meet residents in Baker Hall and it was great to see such a big turn-out. This event was also a great opportunity to foster support for local businesses and our charity partners at Barretstown and Women’s Aid, and we would like to thank all of the local community who donated to both of these important causes.
At Glenveagh, we strive to go beyond building homes and seek to create neighbourhoods that enrich the lives of residents. We would like to thank all those who attended our event, as they are a really important way for us to engage with residents and demonstrate our continued commitment to adding lasting value to the area.”
